Our latest though took us to Las Vegas!! Now, I am not a fan of Las Vegas, however, it is close to some amazing Mountains!!! And I added 3 states to my visit all 50 states before I kick the proverbial bucket!!!
We started our week visiting the Hoover Dam. I wasn't planning on it, after all really what could it be but a dam...well, I was wrong, it was beautiful and as you walk across it you go from Nevada to Arizona and even change time zones!!!
The next day we headed to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, a 2 hour drive from Vegas but a blip on the GPS made it 4 hours but the scenery was so awesome we didn't even mind.
I will say I am glad I went and it was unbelievably beautiful but also on one of the overlooks absolutely terrifying as people walked up to the edge like it was a 1 foot drop instead of the 1 mile drop it actually is!!!! I even went out on to the SkyWalk, which financially was not worth it, but for those who know my extreme fear of heights this was a big deal and I did it :)
Next day we were off to Utah and Zion National Park. Another stunningly beautiful place!! We hiked several trails up the Mountain and just enjoyed the beauty of God's Creation!!
The next two days were spent at Red Rock Canyon in Nevada. You may think, seriously, how many mountains and rocks can you look at and climb? Well, let's just say we can't wait to go back because there is so much beauty and I am thankful we never tired of looking at God's Creativity!!
We can't wait to head back out west!!! October is a beautiful time of year to go!!
