Haiti #11

Yes, this will be our 11th week in Haiti since our first trip in mid October 2010!!
I am so excited to return to Haiti next week!!
This will be the first full Medical Trip that I have led. Although, I have been on Medical trips to Haiti in the past, this is the first time leading one, and I have to give a shout out to my Nebraska friends for setting such a great example of how a Medical Mission should be done, and allowing me to join them twice!!
Our team consists of 6 Providers and 6 Nurses, as well as 22 non-medicals who will assist in the Clinic. We will run Kids Club and a "scaled down" Clinic each morning, then it will be all hands on deck for the afternoon Clinic. We will also hold our first Hygiene and Nutrition Clinic for our patients.
We are 28 people from 6 states plus our wonderful hosts Frank & Karen. We hope to bless our Haitian brothers and sisters with the love of Jesus through medicine and teaching!!
I am so excited to return and see KenKen!! He has been my buddy since the beginning and I truly look forward to seeing him each trip. We were just there in March but it seems like so much longer!!
I am also excited to see the Translators and Staff!! Since we were there last, two young boys from the neighborhood have joined the staff and I am so thankful for GCA and their adding to the employment of those in Mirebalais!
I am so thankful that the Lord has called us to Haiti. The friendships we have made along the way truly are eternal. I  mean seriously, who goes on a Mission Trip, meets a girl who is young enough to be my daughter and a year and a half later she invites me to her wedding in Nebraska? God is so good and I have made amazing friends. Out of the 26 people joining us on this trip, I knew just 7 of them prior to the formation of our team. But already, there is a connection that could only come about through the Spirit and the oneness we have in Christ.
The internet has been down at the Guest House so unfortunately I won't be able to update the Blog but can't wait to share about my week and a few pictures when we get back. Oh and when we get back (Aug. 3rd) we have a meeting on August 7 for our next trip which will be in November!!! I am exhausted, but it is a good exhaustion!! The kind of exhaustion that comes with doing what the Lord has called you to do, working hard and then seeing HIS hand and HIS will being accomplished!!!
Excited for a great week with a great team and serving a Great God!!
