Gary and I are leading a team of 28 back to Haiti this fall. We will spend 1 week with the team doing Campus Maintenance, a Mini Medical Clinic for the school children and we will also teach English in the classroom. The team will return home and Gary and I will remain for another week and will be joined by 2 other teams who will pick up where our New Covenant team left off!!
We are excited to return and bring along another of our children (Michael), last trip our daughter Chrissy joined us and a few trips before that our daughter Beth came along!! Our granddaughter Taylor will return for a second time and our grandson Zach for a third time!! We are so thankful to witness God's faithfulness to 3 generations in our family!!
One of the main reasons for returning this fall is to dedicate the New Hope Church. Our home congregation New Covenant donated the funding to build the church on the GCA grounds which is called the "Campus of Hope" We are so thankful to New Covenant for this tremendous gift to the people in Haiti. This building will not only be used for Worship but also as a Community Center for events, classes and seminars.
Please pray for our team as we make final preparations. We will be taking 2800 lbs. of food, supplies, and ministry items in our suitcases!! This is our largest team since we began leading teams in the fall of 2010!!! Thanks for praying for us and if you are free Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 8:30am-10:30am join us for a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser at New Covenant Church in Monroeville.
